Black Chalcedony and Stilbite Petals B

This striking specimen features deep black chalcedony accented by delicate clusters of pale stilbite crystals. The dramatic contrast between the dark chalcedony and lighter stilbite creates an especially distinctive composition, with the stilbite forming small petal-like clusters across the surface.

The chalcedony displays rich charcoal to nearly black tones, providing a dramatic backdrop for the soft, lustrous stilbite. Fine crystalline details throughout the specimen become increasingly apparent under changing light and from different viewing angles, giving the piece considerable visual depth despite its restrained color palette.

This material was mined in 2024 in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. The unusual combination of exceptionally dark chalcedony and contrasting stilbite gives these specimens a markedly different appearance from many of the more colorful zeolite associations for which the region is known.

Each specimen has its own arrangement of chalcedony formations and delicate stilbite clusters, creating naturally unique compositions with excellent contrast, texture, and crystal habit.
