Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, India
This high-quality specimen features luminous green apophyllite crystals accompanied by delicate sprays of mordenite, with a scattering of micro-apophyllites adding intricate detail across the surface. The apophyllite displays excellent clarity and luster, with soft green tones that shift subtly under light, giving the piece depth and dimension.
This material was recovered during a water well excavation in March 2026 in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. Pieces from this find are limited, with only a small number entering the market, making examples of this quality increasingly difficult to source.
The combination of well-formed apophyllite, fine mordenite, and sparkling micro-apophyllite creates a layered, highly textural composition that draws the eye from every angle. The natural formation highlights both the structural beauty and complexity of this mineral association.
A refined and collector-grade specimen from a recent and notable discovery in India.
Approximate size: height 5"x2.5" or 13x6cm
