This exceptional specimen showcases a beautiful association of green chalcedony, transparent heulandite, highly lustrous stilbite, and fluorescent and phosphorescent calcite. The contrasting mineral habits and colors create a complex, highly aesthetic composition with fine details throughout.
The green chalcedony provides a distinctive foundation for glassy, transparent heulandite crystals, micro anpophyllites and bright stilbite with exceptional natural luster. Calcite adds another dimension to the specimen, displaying fluorescence under UV light and continuing to emit a visible glow briefly after the light source is removed — a phenomenon known as phosphorescence.
Under natural lighting, the combination of deep green chalcedony, clear heulandite, and brilliant stilbite creates excellent contrast and depth. Under UV, the fluorescent calcite reveals an entirely different aspect of the specimen, making these pieces especially rewarding to examine under multiple lighting conditions.
This material comes from Madhya Pradesh, India, and represents an unusual combination of mineral species, crystal habits, and optical properties. Each specimen varies naturally in the distribution of chalcedony, heulandite, stilbite, and calcite, giving every piece its own individual character.
A refined, collector-grade Indian mineral specimen offering exceptional visual interest in both natural and ultraviolet light.
