Sugar Coated Green Apophyllite with Stilbite, Chalcedony and Calcite

This exceptional specimen showcases transparent green apophyllite crystals resting on a matrix of hematite-included chalcedony, accompanied by translucent stilbite, sparkling micro calcites, and delicate micro stilbites. The apophyllite displays excellent clarity with soft green tones and remarkable luster, while the contrasting mineral associations create a layered, highly aesthetic composition.

This material was recovered during a construction site excavation in June 2026 in the Pune District of Maharashtra, India. Specimens from this pocket were limited.

The combination of transparent apophyllite, lustrous stilbite, hematite-included chalcedony, and glittering micro calcites offers an impressive variety of textures and crystal habits. Fine details throughout the specimen continue to reveal themselves from every angle, making it a rewarding display piece for both seasoned collectors and those new to Indian zeolite minerals.
