Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra, India
This exceptional specimen features vivid yellow and green zoned apophyllite beautifully accented by delicate sprays of mordenite. The natural color zoning within the apophyllite creates striking dimension, with saturated golden tones blending into soft mossy greens throughout the crystal structure.
This rare mineral combination was recovered during a water well excavation in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, India. Finds from this locality are limited, making pieces from this pocket especially desirable among serious collectors.
The contrast between the lustrous zoned apophyllite and the fine, fibrous mordenite adds both visual texture and mineralogical interest. The result is a highly aesthetic display specimen that stands out in any curated collection.
A distinctive and increasingly difficult to source combination from India.
